Rebel Og have published details of soft borders for 2018

On Monday, Rebel Og announced details of Rebel Og North, East and West soft borders for league and championship.

Below are full details to which region clubs will be playing within for 2018. In the coming days, the secretary’s of each region will be publishing details of league groups and fixtures on our website.

The championship programme will see teams playing in the region as outlined below with the three regional winners going into the County Semi-Final plus one more team to make four teams in the hat, there will be no Q-Final at County Regional section this season.

Cork paraded a strong line up in the All Ireland Scór na nÓg on a hosted at Sligo IT on Saturday last. The Rebel county were represented by Boherbue, Carbery Rangers, Cullen, Kilshannig and Sam Maguires in the impressive billing that features all the best in cultural fare from juvenile GAA clubs.

With Carbery Rangers and Cullen winning their respective competitions and in doing so captured All-Ireland titles.

Cork’s hope for a Harty Cup success will go in to a 13th season as Midleton were beaten by Ardscoil Ris in the final today.

Played in front of a packed Mallow GAA complex with almost 3000 people in attendance.

Despite getting the opening score of the game today wasn’t going to be Midleton’s day as an early Ardscoil Ris goal put them on the path to victory.

Despite a late effort by the East Cork school, Ardscoil Ris had more on the board and ran out winners.

Midleton will now go into an All-Ireland Q-Final in the coming weeks.

Junior Referee’s course in Rebel Og North

Well done to Rebel Og Coaching who tonight organised a very successful training evening for new referees in Rebel Og North.

On the night 40 new referees attended the programme.

Over the last number of weeks, GDAs Pat Sprat and Colm Crowley have been working on developing a young referee’s programme that allows new referee’s to take control of U11 league games.

The referee is then able to gain some vital experience that will stand to them as they progress up the ranks.

 

The event took place in Mallow GAA complex with some great speakers in attendance. Lead by Games Manager Kevin O’Callaghan.

Experienced referees Justin Murphy and Ciaran O’Regan were on hand to deliver the course.

Other young referee programmes will take place in the coming weeks.

Rebel Og Central have published their latest football fixtures for the board.


Clubs are asked to review their fixtures on the list and confirm the fixtures in the excel sheet that are in Red to allow referee’s be appointed for these games. see here Fixtures Wed 7th Feb (2)

The board have also announced that the U12 hurling league groups have changed due to some clubs withdrawing and other clubs entering the competition. see here Fe 12 Hurling grading

This weekend Rebel Og held the inter divisional competition on Sunday last in Páirc Uí Chaoimh in astro pitch.

Four squads took part in the tournament in conjunction with Rebel Og Coaching with Rebel Og East coming out on top.


Sunday, the U16 inter divisional competition also took place.

Today is the final day for clubs to submit their contact details for Rebel Og Contact Book for 2018.

Entries will only be accepted today.


Rebel Og is now accepting contact details for club sectary at adult and underage section, we are also looking for details of manager of teams playing in Rebel Og leagues in County, Central, East, North and West in 2018. We are also looking for details on fixtures results official. This will need to be the person who will be responsible for submitting details at Minor to U12 within your club.

All details must be submitted online and can’t be accepted any other way. If you make a mistake or need to change anything, please fill in the form again, this will help ensure that there are no errors in details for 2018.

Details on the website will not be updated until February 12th, 2018 please click the box below to submit details.

 

On Thursday, Colm Crowley,Cork GDA, who over sees the organisation of U11, U10 and U9 competitions for Rebel Og Coaching announced details of the forth coming competitions.

These competitions will take place over the next number of weeks and months as part of the Go Games Programme that Rebel Og are putting in place for this season.


 

 

Teams have been broken in to different sections and areas. Clubs have had the choice to enter either 1, 2, or 3 team into the competitions, they then have been groups according to areas so that teams are all travelling in the same general area.

 

Full information on the leagues, dates etc will be confirmed in the coming days and posted however, March 24th will be the day the football leagues throw in while hurling will start on April 7th.
