Games Promotion Officer Blarney GAA
The GPO will provide coaching supports at Primary School, Post Primary School
and directly in the club via hands-on coaching but also in the area of coach
education and the regular upskilling of club coaches.
The GPO will also be responsible for the running of midterm camps, summer
camps, school blitzes and take an active part in club nurseries on Saturdays.
The GPO’s time will be spent in the Blarney GAA club and four respective schools.
The key aims will be to recruit and retain players while ensuring the
best possible standard of coaching in the club/schools.
The successful candidate must have the following;
– GAA Foundation Award certified and ideally Award 1 Child Certified.
– Experience of GAA coaching at child and youth level.
– Appropriate Garda vetting.
– Ideally, a third level qualification in the area of sports science, recreation
& leisure, or education.
This is a paid Part-Time position for a 12-month Contract at 20 hours per week.
