Rebel Óg would like to say thank you to the clubs across Cork who sent representatives to the launch of the minor and U15 championships at Páirc Uí Chaoimh last Saturday.

Best of luck to all sides in the upcoming championships.

NEXT Saturday, July 9, we are launching the minor and U15 championships at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, with the help of clubs across the county.

We are going to try and do something different to launch the championships this year. The plan is to try and  get a player from every club with a side or sides (hurling and football) playing in the U15 and minor championships together at Pairc Ui Chaoimh for the launch at 1pm.

To be clear we only want one player at each age level no matter how many teams they have involved. So one U15 and one minor player from each club, even if they have teams in both codes.

At the event, we will take two large group pictures, U15 and minor, and then pictures region by region as well. The idea will be then to put on social media but also to send to various news organisations to show the scale of games we play every year.

All clubs should be aware of this plan by now and the hopefully all will try to get there on the day.

Players are asked to wear their club jerseys for the launch.
