2019 County Féile na nÓg U14 Football

The County Féile na nÓg (U14 football) will be run off to the following schedule;

  • Group Stages of all competitions; Saturday 6th April
  • Premier Competition semi-finals and final; Sunday 7th April
  • Semi-finals and finals of the “A” and “B” competitions; Monday 22nd April.
  • Entries for Féile na nÓg ( U14 Football) to be submitted not later than Friday 15th March
  • The entry fee for playing in Féile is €180 with €150 refundable once your club plays in the competition. Please submit as indicated on the entry form.
  • There is no County Féile in hurling this year as all interested teams can play in the National Féile, hosted by Cork, over the weekend 7th-9th June. Teams that have entered for the hurling will receive a separate notification.

 

PLAYING RULES FOR FÉILE NA nÓG (U14 Football)

Normal Playing Rules to apply.

Panel of 24 to be submitted to referee at the commencement of the competition. Clubs may not alter this panel at any stage during the Group stages. Unlimited substitutions to apply from the 24 listed.

All Group Games to be 15 minutes aside. (Except where outlined where they will be 12 minutes a side).

Premier U14 teams play in Premier Grade, Division 1 teams play in the “A” grade while teams playing Division 2 or lower play in the “B” grade.

Teams in Premier and ‘A’’ are 15 a side. Teams in ‘B’ are 13 a side. However, the teams that qualify from the “B” grade will have to play 15 a side in the National Competition run over the weekend 28th-30th June.

Clubs are requested to check with opponents in advance of the competition, should a clash of Colours occur. In accordance with TO Cumann Luth Chleas Gael, both clubs change, unless by agreement

At the conclusion of Group Stages:

In the event of teams finishing level on points, the team with the lowest overall score conceded will be determined the Group winner.

In the event of teams having identical scores conceded, then the side that scored the most overall points will qualify. In the event of scores still being deadlocked, the winner will be determined by the result of the game between the teams.

Arrangements for Group Finals (where applicable) to be listed with Fixtures. Games in these Final will be 15 minutes a side.

In the event of game(s) ending in a draw, extra time of 5 minutes a side will be played.

Should sides be level at end of extra time, Referee will restart game with the first side to score being declared the winner.

SEMI FINALS / FINALS

The semi-finals and final of the Premier competition will take place on Sunday evening 7th April with the A and B Finals scheduled for Monday 22nd April. Details of venues etc., to be notified.

Games in the Semi-Finals and Final will be 15 minutes a side.

In the event of game(s) ending in a draw, extra time of 5 minutes a side will be played.

Should sides be level at end of extra time, Referee will restart game with the first side to score being declared the winner.
