This week, we announced the names of 400 boys from the ages of U14 to U17 who will be involved in the Development Squad training panels in both football and hurling for the summer programme. These young people will benefit, throughout the summer, from the experience and coaching skills of Academy mentors such as John Meyler, Anthony Lynch, Fergus Ryan, Diarmuid OâSullivan and Derek Kavanagh.
The recent victories of the Cork Minor Hurlers & Footballers in their Munster Championship games bodes well for 2015 and is a direct result of work with the Development Squads in recent years. We hope that the Academy programme will further augment our fortunes at inter county level and at club level in the years ahead.
By participating in the Rebel Ãg - Cork GAA Classic, you will be playing your part in helping us promote the schools of excellence and development squads academy programmes.
