  • Apr 15,2017

The concluding stages in the Evening Echo Féile Peile Division 2 ( U14 A grade teams) will be played on Easter Monday at Ballincollig with the semi-finals at 5pm and the final at 6pm. The winners, along with the Division 1 champions, will represent Cork at the National Féile in Ulster in June. Ballinora play Aghada in one semi-final with both clubs seeking their first Féile title. Aghada were very impressive in defeating Donoughmore, Fermoy and Bride Rovers in their group games while Ballinore had victories over Kinsale, Whitechurch and Kilmurry before overcoming Bandon in the quarter-final.

Ibane Gaels, which is a Timoleague/Barryroe combination, seek to defend their title at this grade when they face Wolfe Tones from the Kanturk/Lismire area in the other semi-final. Ibane emerged from an all West Cork group which included Bantry, Ilen Rovers and Clonakilty while Wolfe Tones were top of the group in which Granard Gaels, St. Vincents and Clyda Rovers also participated.

Due to the involvement of some players in a school tour over Easter, the Division 3 finals for B1 and B2 teams will now be played on Monday 1st May. In this 13 a side competition Kiltha Óg will play Shamrocks while Blarney meet Buttevant.
